Seattle Sounders FC has signed midfielder and former Borussia Dortmund player Christian Pogba to a new contract. The deal is expected to keep the Frenchman at Seattle until 2026.

Pogba, who previously played for Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, joined Borussia Dortmund in January after signing a four-year contract that includes a transfer window extension until 2024. He made his debut for Dortmund against Hoffenheim on May 19, 2018, and scored his first goal for the club on October 27, 2018.

The move comes just weeks before the start of the 2021-22 season, which is the first time the club will be playing in the Premier League since 2015. The team's new manager,Primeira Liga Hotspots Marcello Lippi, has already stated that he hopes to see Pogba join the squad during the upcoming campaign.

In addition to Pogba, Seattle also announced that it had signed striker Jorginho from Fiorentina for a reported fee of €24 million. The Brazilian international was one of the most exciting talents in Serie A last season, scoring 19 goals in 27 appearances for Fiorentina.

The signings come as part of Seattle's plans to strengthen their attacking line-up ahead of the 2021-22 season. The team is currently in the process of recruiting more top-class players to bolster their ranks and improve their chances of success in the league.

Overall, the signings of Christian Pogba and Jorginho are seen as positive developments for the Seattle Sounders FC, who have struggled to find consistent form this season. With the signing of Pogba and Jorginho, they hope to add depth to their attack and improve their chances of reaching the Premier League next season.
